Easy iPhone Fixes – Part Three

The Moment You Think Your Life Is Over

There is a few other things you can do to try and fix any basic software issues you may be having with your iPhone/iPad/iTouch.

Its called plugging it into iTunes and doing a restore on the device. Doing this will back up all your info you have on the device and remove the software, re download it, install it and then load your info back onto the device.

1. When you plug your device into iTunes it will show up under the “Device” tab. You need to click on the device.

2. Once you click on your device it will look like this in your iTunes.

3. In the centre of the screen there is a box called “Version” and the second button down in that box is called is “Restore”. You need to click on that next. This can take some time, make sure you do not unplug your phone during the restore. iTunes will tell you when it is OK to disconnect the device.

Also it is really good to plug your iPhone/iPad/iTouch on a regular basis to sync all your photos, messages, contacts etc onto your computer through iTunes. (Just in case you every loss your device or it got stolen)

When plugging your iPhone/iPad/iTouch into iTunes every now and then it can prompt you to do a software update when new software has become available for your device. I recommend to do the update as soon as you can. These updates can add extra features to your device, but also iron out any glitches your current software may have.

Easy iPhone Fixes – Part Two

The Moment You Think Your Life Is Over

So the other weekend I got a panicked email from my Mum saying that her iPhone had turned itself off and she couldn’t seem to get it to start back up again.

This is a clear sign the iPhone hasn’t been turned off for quite some time so very rarely it can turn itself off in a bid of desperation to give it’s software a rest :)

To fix this you will need to do this process:

1. Hold the centre “home” button and the lock key on the top right hand side of the phone down together.

2. Once the Apple logo pops up on the screen you can then let go of the two buttons

You may need to hold these two buttons down for quite a long time maybe up to a minute or two.

If the Apple logo does not come up on the screen after holding the two buttons down for some time you may need to plug it into iTunes for the phone to power itself back up again.

Making Roy Lichtenstein Comics

I found this awesomely cool app called “Half Tone” basically you can make Roy Lichtenstien look-a-like comics with the photos you take on your iPhone!

It’s so fun to use!!

These are some of the photos that Ben had for me!

Me sitting in my dream car! A Nissan 370z

HAHA! I had a sudden craving for luncheon roll! (Ben only bought home a mini roll for me)

iPad

I have had my iPad for a few weeks now and it really is an amazing piece of technology! Although I have definetly found that it is a piece of technology that you don’t really need until you actually own it and wonder how you ever used to live life without it!

Here are a few photos of it and a few awesomely cool apps I have found for it. The only downside I have found with the app store for the iPad is that a lot of the apps that you can get for the iPhone are not available for the iPad.

It really is a very good looking device!

The cover for the iPad 2 is a great accessory! It is so multi purpose! :)

The Garage Band app is one of my favorite! It is so easy to use and you can play all sorts for different types of instruments. You can even sing into it and it will record you :) I can often be a bit tight about spending money on apps but this one was totally worth the $6.49! haha.

Ok so this game really is a bit of a guilty pleasure! It is called Bloons TD4 HD! It is so simple but so fun! The aim of the game is to place super monkeys around the track to blow up the balloons before they reach the end of the track! … P.S. This is also an app you can get for your iPhone :)

This last app probably could be used for really useful things but I like to use it to do silly drawings! hehe :)

This is a drawing of Ben sitting on the toilet and using his iPad at the same time! Haha. Sometimes he gets so caught up in playing on his iPad he forgets he is actually still on the toilet!

Haha this is Ben and I going to the supermarket and me being pushed round in the trolley because 1) i HATE going to the supermarket. And 2) i am rather good at being a lazy bitch :) (I feel i did a good job of depicting Ben‘s hair colour) :)
